Claudio AbbadoAbout
In order to be able to maintain contact with each individual during the conducting, he usually conducted from memory. What made Claudio Abbado stand out was his unpretentious, noble character, his democratic understanding of music making and his ability to celebrate the live moment on stage. Claudio Abbado empathized with his musicians.
This edition gives an extensive overview of Maestro Claudio Abbado’s career and many of his important projects.
The box contains representative concert recordings of his work as orchestra founder, as Beethoven and opera conductor.
The edition includes the Adagio from Mahler’s 10th Symphony, never before released on DVD, performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Gustav Mahler's death.
